omis meets... Interfaces as a success factor in digitized maintenance

A central topic of a successful digitization of maintenance are interfaces. We expand them constantly. Here we would like to present some of our already implemented solutions.

Often the connection between different systems is only developed rudimentary. Every party digitizes its part of the processes. Users are faced with many different single solutions and the question if and how they work together. The answer are interfaces that digitally connect systems and ensure a smooth information and data exchange.

We expand our interface solutions constantly and integrate them in omis. Currently, we are planning a cockpit that enables our customers to manage their interfaces more easily.

Here, we would like to present some of our already implemented solutions.



Huth Elektronic Systems


In the case of an error report that concerns the checkout system of the fuel station operator, the report is automatically recorded in omis as well as in the Huth-internal ticket system. At the same time a Huth-technician gets the report which enables him to solve the problem quickly. Through this the double recording is redundant, communication errors are reduced and the processing as a whole is faster. The interface is actively developed further. A next feature makes it possible to attach documents to the assignment. Through this the evaluation on the side of Huth is improved which again leads to less check backs and faster processing.

 

Fafnir


When an error occurs (sensor signal) the interface transfers the data needed for a report in omis. The report is automatically created in omis. With this connection we provide the basis to detect events in critical areas of the fuel station early and start actions. A looming error can be removed in the course of a planned action before it becomes critical.

 

TSG Solutions


To enable our common customers to record and process error reports in one single system (omis) we developed a bidirectional interface to the IT-system of TSG. Error reports are directly transferred from omis to the FM software of TSG and can be processed there. The current status is constantly reported back to omis. This saves time and money for all parties involved - no unnecessary e-mails or telephone calls, no misleading communication, no double recording.

 

SAP


Through this interface users can record invoices in SAP without having to create the assignment manually as it is automatically created in omis. This saves time and improves the quality of information. Moreover all invoice amounts of omis assignments are available which builds the basis for new opportunities in analyzing. We have also already realized an interface to the modules PM and MM. Where SAP is the leading system concerning master data like objects, equipment, service provider etc., omis represents the flexible and user-friendly web-frontend that makes it easy to give external service providers access to it. Also our customer migrolino uses the omis frontend for error and estimated cost recordings. The data is forwarded to SAP and invoice data are reported back to omis.
