Rudolf Faschang has been a fixture in the gas station industry for over four decades. He has helped establish gas stations and supported the implementation of new concepts. The maintenance and upkeep of gas stations is his daily bread.
By founding omis, he has made it his mission to develop a tool that helps station owners streamline their daily operations.

From our beginnings as a service partner to becoming the leading platform for operators: every product decision has been driven by real-world needs. Today, omis connects thousands of locations, service providers, and teams—delivering measurable improvements in availability and efficiency.
20 Years of omis in Fast Forward
07.09.2005
Faschang Service & Management GmbH was founded by Rudolf Faschang.
2006
Start of development of the web-based database application OMIS (Object Management Information System).
2011
Due to steady growth, office space is also being expanded. Takeover of OMV’s entire claims processing operations.
2014
The omis relaunch —with both new technology and a new look —is a huge milestone for omis.
2017
omis is gaining its first users in the U.S. (INIT) and Switzerland (Migrol). The team consists of 10 employees.
2018
We've grown and need more space – moving into our new office building.
2023
Safety first – omis Code and omis Operations are legally separated – omis GmbH is established .
2024
The omis IoT Hub is launching.
2025
Pilot projects with our first customers in Ghana and Kenya have been successfully implemented. Market expansion in Africa is now underway. The omis team consists of 18 employees.
2026
Relaunch of omis – we’re giving everything a fresh coat of paint – from our website and brochures to, most importantly, our software itself. This will be a huge leap forward in terms of user-friendliness and the user interface.
